Privacy policy

Effective date: 28 June 2026.

In short

siglab is a free email signature builder. You can use it without an account, in which case the details you type stay in your own browser and are not sent to us. If you choose to create an account to save your signatures, we store your email address and the signatures you save. We do not sell your data, we do not show adverts inside the tool, and we do not add tracking to the signatures you create. If you accept marketing cookies, we use the Meta Pixel to show you our adverts on Meta, and you can decline or change this at any time.

Who we are

siglab is operated by Emailmovers Limited ("we", "us"), the data controller for personal data handled through siglab. Our company number is 05046417 and our registered office is C/O Jackson Robson Licence, 33-35 Exchange Street, Driffield, East Yorkshire, YO25 6LL, England.

For anything about your data, including questions or requests, email compliance@emailmovers.com, or write to us at our operational address: Suite 4, William Street Business Centre, 7A Lower Clark Street, Scarborough, YO12 7PP, UK.

The information we collect

If you use the builder without an account

The details you enter (such as your name, job title, company, phone number, email address, website, social links, and any image URL) are saved only in your browser, on your device, using local storage. They are not transmitted to our servers. Clearing your browser storage removes them.

If you create an account

We store:

If you upload an image while signed out it is held in your browser only. We recommend using a hosted image URL for signatures, which means the image itself is hosted by you, not by us.

Technical information

We use privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics that set no cookies and do not identify you. If you sign in, a secure session cookie is stored so you stay signed in. With your consent, we also use marketing cookies (see Cookies and similar technologies below). We do not track whether emails we send to you are opened.

How we use your information

Legal bases (UK GDPR)

Where you have an account, we process your data to perform our agreement with you (providing the account and save feature). We rely on our legitimate interests to keep the service secure and to measure aggregate usage. Where the law requires consent, we will ask for it.

Cookies and similar technologies

When you first visit, we ask for your cookie choice through a banner. We block all non-essential cookies and tags until you accept. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.

Strictly necessary (always on)

If you sign in, we store a secure session cookie so you stay signed in. This is essential to provide the account feature you asked for, so it does not need consent.

Analytics (no cookies)

We use privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics that set no cookies and do not identify you, so they run without consent.

Marketing (only with your consent)

If, and only if, you accept marketing cookies, we load one third-party tag, the Meta Pixel, provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited. It lets us show siglab adverts to people who have visited the site (remarketing) on Meta, and to measure how those adverts perform. It sets cookies and shares data such as your device, browser, and the pages you view with Meta, who acts as an independent controller for that advertising. It does not load at all unless you accept, and it does not run if you reject. Our legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time through Cookie settings. For Meta's own handling of your data, please see Meta's privacy policy.

Who processes data on our behalf

We use a small number of trusted providers:

Some of these providers may process limited data (such as a web request or an email in transit) outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by appropriate safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and saved signatures until you delete them or ask us to close your account. Details held only in your browser remain until you clear them.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to data portability. You can delete saved signatures at any time inside the tool. To close your account or make a request, email compliance@emailmovers.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will change the effective date above and, where appropriate, let you know.
