Privacy policy
Draft prepared June 2026. Effective date: [to be confirmed on publication].
In short
siglab is a free email signature builder. You can use it without an account, in which case the details you type stay in your own browser and are not sent to us. If you choose to create an account to save your signatures, we store your email address and the signatures you save. We do not sell your data, we do not show adverts inside the tool, and we do not add tracking to the signatures you create.
Who we are
siglab is operated by Emailmovers Limited ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for personal data handled through siglab. Registered office: [Emailmovers Limited registered address to be confirmed]. Company number: [to be confirmed]. For privacy questions, contact us at [privacy contact email to be confirmed].
The information we collect
If you use the builder without an account
The details you enter (such as your name, job title, company, phone number, email address, website, social links, and any image URL) are saved only in your browser, on your device, using local storage. They are not transmitted to our servers. Clearing your browser storage removes them.
If you create an account
We store:
- your email address, which is used to sign you in;
- the signatures you choose to save, which include the details above, the template, and the colour you picked.
If you upload an image while signed out it is held in your browser only. We recommend using a hosted image URL for signatures, which means the image itself is hosted by you, not by us.
Technical information
We use privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics that do not use cookies and do not identify you. If you sign in, a secure session cookie is stored so you stay signed in. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels in the tool, and we do not track whether emails we send to you are opened.
How we use your information
- to provide the signature builder and let you copy or export your signature;
- to save and show your signatures when you are signed in;
- to send you a secure sign-in link by email;
- to keep the service secure and working, and to understand overall usage in aggregate.
Legal bases (UK GDPR)
Where you have an account, we process your data to perform our agreement with you (providing the account and save feature). We rely on our legitimate interests to keep the service secure and to measure aggregate usage. Where the law requires consent, we will ask for it.
Who processes data on our behalf
We use a small number of trusted providers:
- Vercel, which hosts the website;
- Supabase, which stores accounts and saved signatures in a database located in the United Kingdom (London);
- Resend, which sends the sign-in emails.
Some of these providers may process limited data (such as a request or an email in transit) outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, it is covered by appropriate safeguards. [Confirm international transfer wording and safeguards with your data protection adviser before publication.]
How long we keep it
We keep your account and saved signatures until you delete them or ask us to close your account. Details held only in your browser remain until you clear them.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to data portability. You can delete saved signatures at any time inside the tool. To close your account or make a request, contact us at [privacy contact email to be confirmed]. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will change the effective date above and, where appropriate, let you know.
